Developmental Training Program

The Developmental training program at Clay County Rehabilitation Center currently serves over 110 consumers. We provide a wide variety of services within this program and we are spread throughout all four of our Agency buildings. The Developmental Training program offers everything from vocational training, pre-vocational training to adult living skills. The jobs offered range from janitorial to actual factory lines & recycling a wide variety of goods. One of those is assisting the Oak Street Baptist Church pantry deliver food to the elderly once a month. Our hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00pm.

Community Integrated Living Arrangement (CILA) & Home Based Services (HBS)

These services are designed to promote independence in daily living and assist individuals in becoming economically self-sufficient. They provide in-home services to qualified individuals in areas which include training and assistance in self-care training, food preparation, shopping, accessing transportation, social activities in the community, and other areas as needed on an individual basis. These services allow individuals to remain living in their own homes in the community.

Transportation

Clay County Rehabilitation Center currently operates a fleet with twenty-one vehicles. We provide transportation to eighteen different long-term care facilities in Flora & surrounding counties, with daily service to over 100 consumers. We also transport individuals who live with relatives, or independently in the same region. Our fleet includes everything from vans to trucks, which we utilize for production, community and recycling purposes.

Comprehensive Vocational Evaluation Services

The evaluation program is a short-term program that assists disabled, dislocated, or unemployed individuals in determining vocational objectives and capabilities. The program evaluates the individual in areas which include physical performance, aptitude and abilities, vocational interests, and other areas that would aid in determining the consumer's interests and abilities.

Regular Work

This program provides short-term and long-term employment to disabled individuals. Most of these consumers work at Clay County Industries in production activities.

 

Supported Employment

The Supported Employment Program (SEP) is designed to assist consumers who want to work in an integrated community employment setting. Through the Supported Employment Program consumers are: assessed to determine appropriate work placement and job matching; provided community employment opportunities; provided structured on the job training and job development; provided transportation services; and provided ongoing staff support. Training is provided in areas of job-seeking skills, work-retention skills, production skills, appropriate work behavior and other work-related skills necessary to acquire and retain employment in the community. A job coach will accompany the consumer to the community job site to provide the training, support and assistance required for the consumer to become more independent at the job site.

STEP - Secondary Transitional Education Program

The Secondary Transitional Education Program (STEP) is designed so that Clay County Rehabilitation can participate with high school students, parents, school systems, South Eastern Special Education (SESE) and Office of Rehabilitation (ORS) to assure appropriate transition from school to the work environment. CCRC participates in the development and implementation of a student's Individual Education Plan (IEP).
